Synergy Commercial Finance is thrilled to welcome husband and wife team Simon and Sarah Smith, owners of Randolph Thom Ltd as appointed representatives.
Simon possesses over 30 years of experience in finance and banking. He started his career at Royal Bank of Scotland, where he spent 19 years, followed by five years as a broker. Most recently he was Regional Development Manager for Shawbrook Bank covering the North of England and Scotland. This experience on both the funder and broker sides has given Simon a wealth of knowledge across commercial finance. He has a particular passion for commercial and residential property investment funding and all forms of trading business finance including commercial mortgages, invoice and asset finance. Simon has witnessed many changes in the industry, particularly in compliance and technology. Having worked with Synergy Commercial Finance brokers as part of his role within Shawbrook Bank, he was impressed by the strength of support we could provide in these areas and decided to join the network.
His wife Sarah is trustee of a renowned charitable foundation and has spent her career in the voluntary sector. Most recently she has been involved with dementia sufferers, which led to the publication of her first book: “Because I know who he is” in 2021 and being appointed family ambassador for the Erskine Veterans Charity. This background has honed her organisational and administrative skills, which she will put to good use in providing administrative and marketing support for the business.
Together, Simon and Sarah are a formidable team, and we are pleased to have them as part of the Synergy Commercial Finance community.
