The majority of people who decide to become a franchisee with Synergy arrive from a background that generally includes banking, commercial finance or some other front line financial service. Our latest recruits, however, have a totally different history. Prior to joining forces to establish ‘Simply Business Finance Ltd’ in Brighton, Gary Smith and Alastair James both worked for our fantastic funding partner – Accredo. It was while providing excellent funding support to our network of commercial finance brokers that they recognised the outstanding benefits of franchising with Synergy. They made their decision to join our growing broker network and last Thursday and Friday they undertook their induction at our Blackburn offices.
As part of the Accredo funding service they witnessed at first hand just how Synergy really supported their brokers and helped them to develop their business.
What initially drew Gary and Alastair to discuss the benefits of franchising with Synergy was the fact that as a franchisee and a Synergy Appointed Representative they could obtain the vital FCA compliance without any delays and without the daunting financial outlay required by the Regulator’s direct authorisation process. Gary was previously an accountant and prior to that he had been financial director for a privately owned company. He had worked with Accredo helping to provide business finance since 2001.
Alastair’s background included business sales and spells with a number of asset finance funders since 1997. He was mainly involved with working for tier 1, 2 and 3 lenders financing business loans.
